Q: How is IVT able to move my vehicle with personal effects inside the passenger and cargo areas
and other companies do not allow for this type of option?
A: We access special rates with the ocean carrier; and, most importantly, we have a network
of agents and service providers who load and unload our containers at the origin and destination
locations.
Q: Can I have my personal effects loaded inside the container itself?
A: No, you can only load the personal effects inside of your vehicle's cargo and passenger areas. Our
rate does not allow for the contents of the container to be used in this manner.
Q: On what days/times can my vehicle be delivered to or picked up from a particular agent's location?
A: You can drop off your vehicle on any weekday (with the exception of the normal holidays, of course).
Hours of operation for delivery and pick up purposes are between 8:30 am and 3:30 pm.
Q: How many sailings per week does IVT have access to?
A: From the ports of Los Angeles/Long Beach and Oakland, there are two sailings per week. From
the Port of Seattle, there is only one sailing per week. If we have your vehicle two business days prior
to any one of these sailings, we will get it on the next available sailing. When you book your vehicle from
a particular port, we will provide you with the cut-off times that are operative at that particular time.
Q: Are there limits to how large my vehicle can be?
A: Yes, we load your vehicle into a 20' container. We do not have 24' or 40' containers. Here are the
maximum dimensions that you car can be in order to qualify for movement with IVT:
19 feet in length - 7 feet 6 inches in width - 7 feet 4 inches in height. You must measure your vehicle
prior to booking it with IVT and confirm that your vehicle qualifies for our program. This is particularly
important, if your vehicle is a heavy-duty or extended cab pick up or a modified passenger van.
WE MOVE YOUR VEHICLE LIKE WE OWNED IT OURSELVES!
